My interest in photography arose during my studies in Graphic Design, which led me to acquire my first digital camera. My journey into the world of photography, to a large extent, has been self taught, experimenting with different photographic techniques, styles and genres. Over time, I developed an interest in nature and landscapes, so I delved into the works of renowned photographers such as Michael Kenna.
In 2016, I collaborated with the distinguished Editorial Design Studio “Frontespizio” in Mexico to publish my first photography book. This project focused on capturing the essence of a Mexican underground mine, showing the faces of its workers, the landscapes and the technology used to extract the mineral. The book, printed in Madrid, Spain, was presented in various exhibitions.
My decision to become a landscape photographer was made in 2017 during a trip to Antarctica, a trip I repeated in 2019. My other trips around the world also include capturing natural and urban landscapes, as well as human made structures, contributing to an ongoing personal project, in which my goal is to create an archive of intimate images.
I deeply appreciate the serenity and beauty that can be found in isolated places, my approach to photography reflects a calm and patient attitude. Working with the unpredictability of weather and terrain can certainly add an extra layer of challenge and excitement to the creative process.
My emphasis on clean, organized compositions suggests a commitment to capturing the essence of a scene in a way that allows viewers to connect with the tranquility I seek. Simplicity often highlights the purity and depth of a landscape, allowing the viewer to appreciate subtle details.
As a graphic designer and photographer, I have knowledge of printing processes. For the last five years, I have taken control of the entire creative process, from conceptualisation to printing, producing tangible fine art pieces.
